I spent the extra $$ for the floating frame. It's a really nice touch and gives it that little bit extra for a nice professional look. When I got mine in the mail the hardware holding frame to canvas was made of cheap plastic that was bent enough to make framework out of square. And staples only half driven loosely holding them together. All of them pulled out way to easily by hand and I had to re staple everything. By the time I was almost finished the plastic hardware was broken. So I wound up getting new metal hardware and attached it with screws. So for the price I wound up paying I could have done it myself, better, cheaper, with only ONE try. Canvas is beautiful but frame was a rip off.
